Seira Yun is the founder and CEO of Socious. He builds the company, advances the idea, hosts the summit and backs the founders — all pointed at the same thing: the impact that lasts.
I want to leave my kids — and everyone else's — less to fix, more to build on. Everything else — the company, the idea, the summit, the investments — follows from that one commitment.
For most of modern history we've measured value one way: money. It's legible, liquid and universal — and it quietly bends everything we build toward what pays, not what matters. My work is an attempt to change the yardstick.
I didn't start in software. I spent years in humanitarian management at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and UNHCR — close enough to the front lines to see how much human good never shows up on a balance sheet. In 2021 I exited my first social business and founded Socious: infrastructure to make sustainability and impact measurable, verifiable and executable inside real markets.
That conviction grew into more than a company. I proposed Impactism as a way of thinking, founded the Tech for Impact Summit to convene the people who can act on it, and invest as an impact angel in founders solving planetary-scale problems.
It sits in a lineage: Bhutan's Gross National Happiness, Amartya Sen's Human Development Index, and Ken Suzuki's PICSY — each an attempt to measure what money misses. My inversion goes one step further: not a better translation of impact into money, but impact honored, not priced.
